Earlier this month I attended a coffee chat with other amazing women entrepreneurs. The group sits in a circle with our coffee and little treats, while discussing different topics, whether personal or business related.

A question was asked about how we find balance in our lives and/or what are our challenges in attaining more balance.

We’re going around the room sharing our individual experiences on the topic and when it was my turn to share, I realized I had more to say than I thought.

Candidly, 2024 was the year of being intentional in my personal life about what I wanted out of life. I asked myself questions like…what kind of partner do I want to be? How do I want to show up for my clients? Who are the people I enjoy being around and who equally enjoys being with me? What hobbies have I really been into and how can I do more of that?

Although I didn’t show up consistently on a virtual platform, I showed up intentionally for myself and for the people I love as best as I could.

And for that, I am very grateful for 2024 and the few weeks we have left of wrapping up this amazing year. 🥂

Sydney rocking variations of blondes with me since 2022 🤘🏻

Since Syd only gets her hair done a few times a year, I need to make sure her hair color grows out seamlessly no matter if our goal is bright blonde or a brunette with pops.

It’s always a fun time switching up her looks because let’s be honest, she can rock them all 😍

The truth is, it’s possible to get your hair colored twice a year and it still looks good months later 🤷‍♀️

Perry girl is an example of a brunette who likes to come in for a full highlight once a year and a partial highlight once a year.

But here’s the thing,
Perry also likes to be a brunette! We add more or less pops of color when needed. However, for the most part, her growth is a reflection of how much of her natural we keep at each appointment.

If you’re someone who wants to be all over blonde most of the year, likely you’ll need to have more salon visits within a year to maintain your blonde (thus being higher maintenance).

Personally, I think low maintenance color is here to stay and I’m loving the natural looking results that last 6+ months 🌟

Clare has been seeing me for a few years and I WISH I still had the photos of when she came to me for the first time.

Picture this, her hair was down her back, with about 6 inches of roots, and previous blonde highlights mid shaft to ends.

She told me to chop it off and get her as blonde as possible while still keeping in mind that she doesn’t get her hair done often and needs something that will still grow out nicely.

Fast forward, Clare still goes through phases when we grow her hair and then do a chop, but we maintain her blonde every 3 months.

We’ve been keeping her blonde while leaving some of her root color in between to make sure her hair is seamless even when she’s ready to come back in for a retouch.

Previously my girl had a ton of dark box dye mixed in with unwanted brassy pieces. After multiple sessions we broke through 80% of the old color plus the brassiness from highlight sessions she had before our sessions together.

While we are going through a transition with our hair, it’s important to remember that these processes do take time. We need patience and consistency 🤝

Helps blend sparse greys
Gives a seamless transition between the natural base and highlights
Allows you to enjoy your hair for a longer period of time

Imagine sitting in the salon chair with a list of things to do and wanting to just breeze through the appointment so you can get it all the things done.

I get it.

But imagine if you dropped into the moment of receiving something you absolutely deserve.

What would it look like if you put your brain on autopilot and let someone take care of you for once?

We all need this, and I hope with every self care moment, you allow yourself the moment—guilt free.
